Bare Trees

Went for a walk right before sunset in the park near our house. Hadn't been there for some time and what a difference a few weeks had made, with so many trees having lost their leaves. I was never a big Fleetwood Mac fan, but it reminded me of one of their great songs, Bare Trees, recorded in 1972 and written by then 22-year old Danny Kirwan: "Bare trees, grey light. oh yeah, it was a cold night." Tonight's walk inspired me to attempt a very beginner's haiku:
Half moon pure bright white
shining through naked black trees,
pale blue sky near dusk.
Wish I had a picture to do it justice, but, alas, my phone was not up to the task.
